Kratom Picker: the wheel at the top of this guide works from DTE’s own 63 scored strains. Tap a feeling and it shows the top scorer plus a rotation pick — the rotation rests the last strain logged for that feeling, switches vein, and never follows an enhanced pick with another enhanced one. Sleep (💤) is a first-class effect here, with its own lane on the spectrum map below and its own black slice in every effect pie. A strain’s Sleep value is derived from its Calm and Analgesia scores — Sleep = (Calm + Analgesia) ÷ 2, rounded — the same derived value everywhere it appears. Focus (◎) was never scored separately in DTE’s panels; on the wheel it is read from each strain’s Energy + Mood balance, and two strains carry a published clarity share in their effect mix.
Four strains sit out the wheel and the map: Old School Red Hulu and Ancient White Dragon carry no community scores yet, and Bigfoot Bali and Golden Ghost carry a published effect mix (their pies still open) but no 0–5 scores.
Every scored strain is plotted twice: in its vein lane by its Energy score along the Slow → Fast bar, and in the Sleep lane by its derived Sleep value (black dots). Every dot jumps to that strain’s card and opens it — click the card itself to glide back to the map. Each card also carries its own mini spectrum bar in the same colors.

The color system is the community's own language: reds for winding down, whites for lift-off, greens for the all-day middle, golds and yellows for mellow warmth. Across years of reports — Reddit threads, tester panels, vendor drop notes, and buyer discussions — consumers consistently describe distinct, reproducible effect profiles per color. Those reports are the factual record this guide is built on, and they show the colors matter in practice.
What lab work adds to the picture: published alkaloid panels (including DTE's own COAs in the lab reference) show the major alkaloids — mitragynine, paynantheine, speciogynine, speciociliatine — clustering in similar ranges across colors (Huisman et al., 2023, found the same in a 644-user study with lab-tested products). That is a measured finding about major-alkaloid percentages, not a verdict on the colors themselves. Why the same-strain-name leaf presents so differently by color in consumers' hands — minor alkaloids, curing and fermentation, leaf maturity, regional sourcing — remains an open research question. The community's answer, recorded across thousands of reports, is simpler: the colors present differently, reliably, and usefully. This guide treats those consumer reports as its primary evidence and presents them without speculation.

JK is Jongkong — the Kapuas River locality in West Kalimantan. This is the red entry in DTE's Platinum tier, released in the K18 dry-season drop; the Platinum name survives in the current catalog only in its white form, White JK Platinum.

Despite the Bali name, DTE states outright that "this strain is technically a green" — a limited-edition Halloween Series green harvested from 11–12-year-old trees in the wilds of Sekadau (West Kalimantan), spec'd "Midspec." The 2025 Bigfoot Bali 2.0 revisited the same area for the Halloween/A29 drop, was likewise filed under Greens, and was spec'd "Mid."
No independent reviews of either version were found — the public record is DTE's own release notes plus its tester panel, and the two versions are pitched differently. The original (2024) is outright motivation: "Total green powdered MOTIVATION! This strain just makes you feel great" — positioned for mornings or afternoons where you're starting to drag, with no calm or relief claims made for it. The 2.0 panel profile is cozier: a gentle pep and a warm, steady lift — "a bear-hug you can walk around in" — with a bit of mental pep and an easy, capable headspace.
